Letting go does not imply forgetting who someone is or what something has done to your life. Sometimes, it's about acceptance and the realization that this is only how far things could go, and not everyone will stay.

However, it is difficult to let go of people and things in our lives. It will never be simple. Even when it hurts, we still cling to them because, despite the pain, they keep us sane and happy. Being with them or holding on to that one thing keeps someone alive, and they're apprehensive about losing them for a million different reasons. Some people are reluctant to let go because they don't want to experience or go through the same procedure repeatedly. And lastly, some are afraid to let go because they have no choice.

So, if you're afraid to let go of something or someone in your life, that's totally okay, my friend. ❤️‍🩹

I posted an anonymous form on my social media accounts containing this question,
"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲?"
and here are some of their responses:

Happy Sunday! Here's another story entry answering the question, "What happened today in your life that made you smile?"

———

"Today I walked to the store with my mom.

Spending time with her is always one of my favorite things to do.

It might seem simple, but even the act of standing, let alone walking...

has been very difficult because of my mental health recently.

Even when my mom is clueless about what I'm struggling with,

𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚. 𝙆𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖 𝙠𝙖?

Has somebody in your life today asked you, "How are you?" "How's it going?" or "How has your life been lately?"

These words may appear simple to anyone, but for some of us, hearing them from someone we care about means a lot. But how would you react if a stranger asked you the same question? What would you feel?

Others may find it terrifying and strange; others may be annoyed; some may be surprised; some may feel appreciated; and some may cry.

This is a friendly reminder that life can be difficult at times.

If you have time, please check up on your friends or loved ones. Some may be waiting for someone to ask them how they are or how their lives are going. And I understand if someone is afraid to do it because we might not get the same amount of energy back. It's fine. We can wait for the right time for them to open up. And if you don't have the energy to do it, that's fine too; it's a valid emotion to feel the need to save yourself.

I just want to tell you, whoever is reading this, thank you for always being there for the people that mean the most to you and for yourself. I appreciate each and every one of you.

So can I ask you something? The question is, "What happened today in your life that made you smile?"

I asked a few people the same question using an anonymous form, and here are some of their responses. 💗

Pesitography: Untold Stories is a project that allows people to talk about their untold stories or anything else they've wanted to share but couldn't. It will help people express themselves in ways they have wanted to for a long time. By answering each of the questions presented, this platform serves as a safe space for individuals to openly communicate their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and experiences. The page will include pictures as well as stories, allowing the public to build a more personal and meaningful relationship with the sharer.
