Gabbie De Guzman () is a Manila-based creative known for her inventive composition scans, where color, shape, and texture transform simple everyday objects into striking images.

For this shoot, she paired LomoChrome Turquoise with a distorted, underexposed Lomography Redscale XR roll that she scanned and layered as texture, turning a mistake into part of the process. The result is a thoughtful interplay of red and blue, where chance and time shape the final images.

At SoFA Design Institute’s graduate show, BLANC symbolized a blank canvas: pure, open, and full of potential. As students unveiled collections ranging from sculptural silhouettes to fluid forms, we lent the Half-Frame Lomourette to capture the backstage moments of their fashion show and the Lomo’Instant Automat for their model casting.

At the same time, the Lomography team shot with the Lomo LC-Wide Film Camera and the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System, documenting the creativity and energy unfolding beyond the runway.

Guiding this creative exchange was Mads Constantino, a creative strategist at SoFA Design Institute. With a strong interest in image-making as authorship, she brought a thoughtful lens, both literally and conceptually, to the collaboration.

“I think this camera is good for beginners who want to transition from P&S cameras to having more control per shot. Gear-wise, the Lomo MC-A felt comfortable and sturdy to use, and it’s nice to know there’s the autofocus to fall back on when you just want to go with the flow and not overthink the process.
