Maika and Roger’s love story began in the halls of Bulacan State University’s College of Hospitality and Tourism Management. It was fate that brought them together, even if their paths were initially unexpected. Roger, an irregular student transitioning from a different course, first crossed paths with Maika through her best friend—who, fittingly, will now stand as their matron of honor.
From their first encounter, there was something undeniable between them. As friendship blossomed, the spark of something deeper grew. By December 23, 2012, they took the leap, officially becoming a couple. Their relationship started quietly, shared only with their closest friends—a bond built not for the world’s eyes but for their own hearts.
Over the next 12 years, Maika and Roger’s love became a steadfast anchor, weathering life’s inevitable ups and downs. They faced the challenges of post- graduation life together, from finding their first jobs to stepping into the complexities of the real world. They built each other up from scratch, growing not just as individuals but as a team.
One of the most cherished milestones in their journey was how their love extended to their families. Roger is forever grateful that Maika had the chance to meet and create meaningful memories with his late father, Rogelio. Similarly, Maika treasures that Roger became part of her own family, especially forging a bond with her brother, Norman. These connections further solidified the foundation of their relationship, showing how love isn’t just between two people—it’s something that radiates outward.
A beautiful similarity that ties Maika and Roger even closer is their shared love for dogs. Together, they’ve built a warm and lively home filled with twelve dogs who bring boundless joy into their lives. Their weekends often revolve around these furry companions, serving as their ultimate outlet to unwind after a long week of work in Manila. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply enjoying their presence, their dogs are an irreplaceable part of their relationship—a testament to the love and care they pour into everything they cherish.
