WHY DO YOU SHOOT FILM?

“Film wasn’t something I ever considered when I started out. It was just one of those coincidences that just happened. Once I had the chance to try it, I jumped in with no idea what i was doing. Then after shooting my first roll, I realized how fun it was. My first few rolls weren’t newsworthy but the whole experience stuck with me.

I don’t do it for the glory of the results (even if they get me excited every time). I do it to experience a side of life I would probably never have tried if I hadn’t gotten into film. It took a lot of mistakes to get me to where I am. And it will take a lot more to get to where I want to go with film.” — Joshua

Launching the lab officially on May 2, 2026.

Analog — Analog, we’ll be joined by our friends from Bacolod and of .records and for an all vinyl set.

As part of this launch, will kick off one of the lab’s initiative, “micro exhibits”. One wall in the lab is intended for photographer spotlight or to showcase a photographer’s project by extracting a tiny portion of a “WIP” or a Full body of work. (10 images max)

The essence of this initiative is to drive more image-making from Cebuano photographers, still an exhibition but minus the formal framework of an actual exhibit, just a reason to gather, an avenue to practice.
