Mga kaganapan sa Intramuros

Madalang nalang ako kumuha ng film kasi tumataas na yung presyo ng mga rolyo. Film is not dead pero film prices are alive and kicking. Ganun pa man, sinusubukan ko kumuha pa rin ng mga litrato sa mga libreng oras paminsan minsan. Importante rin kasi na laanan rin natin ng oras yung mga bagay na nagpapaalala sa atin kung ano mga gusto at ipinaglalaban natin sa buhay.

For this editorial shoot, I experimented with film photography, specifically using Fujicolor 200. This particular roll holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first one film roll that I used when I began my journey in analog photography. Initially, I considered using black and white film, but upon researching about Lauv, I realized that he has vibrant and colorful personality. Thus, Fujicolor 200, with its warm and vivid tones, seemed to be the suitable for this shoot.

Photographing subjects in an analog way reminds me that sometimes slowing down is good and maybe sophisticated equipment is not always necessary to achieve remarkable results. Returning to the basics and the foundations of photography can be a highly rewarding approach, particularly in editorial work.

Please allow me to share some of the images captured using the Canon FT QL and Fujicolor 200.

Coast of Barcelona

It's funny how I forgot that I was shooting with a black and white film. Makakalimutin kasi akong tao lol. Nonetheless, Barcelona has an interesting beach. I strolled early in the morning to capture the sunrise and I found few interesting things such as a man sleeping on the sand on a 5°-10°c temperature and a man strolling around with his metal detector. Barcelona's beach is beautiful but nothing beats the white sand beaches in the Philippines.
