As a community, Shutter Story celebrates not only the impact women make, but also the perspectives they bring. Through every story captured and every moment shared, their voices help create spaces that inspire and uplift others 📸

Happy Pi Day! 🥧✨

Today we recognize one of the most used numbers in the universe, π (pi), the mathematical constant that represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

Did you know? Pi Day celebrations originated in 1988 when physicist Larry Shaw organized the first event at San Francisco's Exploratorium. 🥧📐

The date March 14 (3/14) was chosen because it matches the first three digits of π (3.14). The first celebration which included staff members walking in circles while they ate pie developed into a global practice that students and teachers as well as scientists and math enthusiasts now observe.

So this March 14, take a moment to celebrate π, an infinite number that continues to spark infinite curiosity.

𝓒𝓱𝓮𝓮𝓻𝓼 🎉 and 𝓷𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓹 𝓮𝔁𝓬𝓲𝓽𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 ✨ filled the gym on January 29, 2026 as 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖 of 𝐏𝐒𝐇𝐒 - 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 delivered an entertaining 🎭 and highly anticipated 𝓑𝓪𝓽𝓬𝓱 𝓝𝓪𝓶𝓮 𝓡𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓪𝓵. Dressed in their black outfits 🖤 and masks 🎭, the batch opened the night 🌙 with a creative video presentation 🎬 and a song 🎶 by Chloe Cristobal, followed by a live performance 🎤 by Salipso (Sa Halip Na Puso), that instantly set an engaging and festive atmosphere 🎊 for the audience 👏.

Each act of the program featured a short video 🎥 paired with dynamic dance performances 💃🕺 that brought the batch’s story to life. 𝓐𝓒𝓣 𝓥𝓘𝓘: 𝓤𝓷𝓮𝔁𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓭 revisited Batch 2028’s Grade 7 beginnings, showing their early challenges 💪 and adjustments as new Pisay scholars, 𝓐𝓒𝓣 𝓥𝓘𝓘𝓘: 𝓡𝓲𝓿𝓪𝓵𝓻𝔂 portrayed their intense competitiveness 🔥, particularly during the height of their Grade 8 “Section wars”, 𝓐𝓒𝓣 𝓘𝓧: 𝓣𝓸𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓻 highlighted the batch’s diverse talents 🌟 in academics 📚, sports 🏅, and the arts 🎨 emphasizing how their individuality eventually came together as one united batch 🤝.

The highlight ⭐ of the program came in 𝓐𝓒𝓣 𝓧: 𝓡𝓮𝓾𝓿𝓪𝓷𝓸𝓼, which featured the batch song 🎵 written and produced by Batch 2028. Performed alongside a powerful dance number 💥, the song marked the official reveal of their batch name, 𝓡𝓮𝓾𝓿𝓪𝓷𝓸𝓼, meaning “𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓽 𝓛𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓡𝓮𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓷𝓮𝓭.” ✨

The program concluded with a heartfelt ❤️ message of 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧, ending the 𝓑𝓪𝓽𝓬𝓱 𝓝𝓪𝓶𝓮 𝓡𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓪𝓵 that was both meaningful 💫 and unforgettable 🌟.

Officially ending the first semester with a 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆 ‼‼

On this 10th of January 2026, the PSHS-IRC court was filled once more with the sounds of 𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 📣, 𝒔𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒔 ⛹, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔 🏀 for the 𝑺𝑬𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑫 𝑸𝑼𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑭𝑨𝑪𝑼𝑳𝑻𝒀 & 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑭𝑭 𝒗𝒔 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑺 𝑩𝑨𝑺𝑲𝑬𝑻𝑩𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑮𝑨𝑴𝑬𝑺.

The game ended with an 𝟏𝟖-𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐆𝐀𝐏; led by the Pisay Faculty & Staff team with a staggering 𝟏𝟏𝟔 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒, with the Parents team following at 𝟗𝟖 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒🏅

It is not just a game, but a showcase of skill and sportsmanship amongst the players; and a symbolism of the type of community that Pisay IRC is: 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 🤝 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆 💛
