Gears is a Generation 1 Autobot and reconnaissance/transport specialist, known for his grumpy, pessimistic personality and loyalty to the Autobot cause. He debuted in the mid‑1980s Transformers series and comics as a Mini Vehicle, transforming into a 4×4 pickup truck. Despite his small size, Gears has impressive strength and endurance, often carrying heavy loads and assisting in scouting missions.
