Here's the thing. If you had shown twenty something me this picture, then told me I would be spending upwards of nine years looking at this view I wouldn't have believed you. I may have even been more than a little freaked out. But in actual fact, as our youngest children are on the brink of five, I know I'll miss this quiet time. Really! In between their exclamations of how wonderfully big their deposits are (the almost fives are boys) they tell me about their friends, their days, what they want for tomorrow. Maybe one day we will exchange the toilet for a table and a cuppa, but for now this is what I get and I'll take it every time.
