Hello All,
As you already know we made a big decision to remove Kei from the Triggered group and Lance left on his own accord thereafter. We are aware rumors and speculation abound as to the reason/s why. Some of you may have heard directly from their side of the situation.
We are here to address what happened as it concerns her departure, without going into all of the reasons and full details due to matters of privacy and professionalism.
Now, to adress the elephant in the room. From the perspective of attendees, Kei is a charming presence - of which she truly is - with the ability to connect with others and make people comfortable; a person with an amazing skill along with social media savvy, which is why she was an important part of Triggered operations.
However, over the past few months, she became increasingly difficult to work with, from making time for meetings and shoots, to following roles and responsibilities as a team member.
Ultimately, because of her over-commitments to things outside of Triggered, including car show events and her own private shoots, we decided to release Kei from the team, thereby avoiding further conflicts of interests and problems in the future.
We are here to say that we appreciate what Kei and Lance has done with and for Triggered. Their contribution is priceless. However, it is a mistake to say that she and Lance were the only hardworking Triggered members, or did the most important work. Rather, theirs just happened to be the most public and visible as inherent in the role (external/internal public relations dealing with photogs, models, and social media).
All members put in a lot of time, energy, sleeplessness, and sometimes personal money just so that a shoot isn't cancelled and models are paid. Critical stressful decisions were made by the head organizers, Ali and John, in conjunction with team input.
We work hard in front of and behind the scenes, knowing that despite the stress and worry, we also gain social time as friends and colleagues, and an amazing opportunity to practice and share in a field that we all love - the bond of photography.
Alas, now that Kei and Lance are separate from us, this does not mean they have become our enemies. We bear them no ill-will. Quite the opposite, actually. If anything, we see it as positive rivalry and this has given all of us reasons to keep improving and be the best at what we do. Should we fail, we fail because of ourselves, and we move forward and learn from our mistakes.
Seeing that Kei and Lance are now organizing shoots as well, you now have the option of attending either or both photo events of your choosing. We encourage you to attend theirs, just as ours. Should Kei and Lance's organized shoots and events outlive us, we bear no grudge. Triggered will adapt or die.
Photography here in the Philippines is a small, yet tight-knit community. We can't afford to make enemies and allow disagreements to prevent us from doing and achieving something for the greater good and greater than ourselves.
We wish Lance, Kei, you the photographers, and Triggered Productions continued success and positive growth.
There's always enough room for success for everyone. You just got to be willing to work for it and find your place.
Gratefully,
Triggered Productions
P.S. As a sidenote at the time of this writing, we will be attempting to regain full control of Triggered Productions Group as we were recently demoted from Admin to members by a former member. Because of this, we have decided and are in the process of migrating to another Group as a mirror in order to avoid jeopardizing our admin controls in the future. Please join us once more on our other Group as we work hard for our upcoming activities.
