They said I am wasting my time and money on Rianโs extracurricular activity (Taekwondo). Aside from the daily fare from our house to the dojang, the uniforms, gear, belt promotion tests, and tournaments are also very expensive.
But you know what we parents think about sending our kids and allowing them to join their passion? Itโs about the valuable lessons these sports teach them, on and off the mats, ring, field, or arena. ๐ฅ
They say Rian must be very tired and that Iโm a heartless mom because after school, she still goes to the dojang for 2 hours of training from Monday to Friday. But do you know ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐บ๐ผ๐๐? Itโs that my daughter might go out of the house and be around people who could slowly become a bad influence on her. ๐
Iโd rather have Rian go to the dojang after school ๐ง๐๐๐ก spend her time scrolling and scrolling on T*kTok, watching unhealthy and nonsense videos.
I prefer her to be trained in combat sports, so she can defend herself when Iโm not around.
I allowed her to join Taekwondo because thatโs been her passion since she was 4 years old. She officially started training when she was 6.
They say Iโm just forcing Rian to join Taekwondo because it was my childhood dream, that I just want her to pursue what I couldnโt. But honestly, no. She really wanted it.
Even now that sheโs almost 9 years old this coming August, she still insists that she loves Taekwondo. And even when I sometimes tell her to stop because we lack money, she gets mad at me, because she really loves it. ๐ฅ

Sending kids into sports and allowing them to grow in a ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ณ๐๐น ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ. โฅ๏ธ
