Kapitan moy Heritage House

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-396 taong anibersaryo ng Marikina, nagkaroon ng Salamyaan: Mga Kuwentong Buhay ng Marikina. Ang proyektong ito ay inihandog ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Marikina, sa pangunguna ng ating butihing ina ng lungsod, Mayor Maan Teodoro, katuwang ang ama ng lungsod Kongresman Marcy Teodoro, kasama ang Samahan ng mga Angkan ng Marikina, Memories of Old Marikina (MeMar), na nagsilbing mga taga-pagsalaysay. Ang DepEd Marikina (Sta. Elena Highschool Special Program for the Arts at Arts and Design, Sto. Nino Elementary School Dance Troupe), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, sa pangunguna ni Dr. Jacqueline Calaycay (VP para sa Academya at Saliksik), kasama ang PLMar Center for the Culture and the Arts Batlaya Theater Guild, PLMar Chamber Singers, PLMar Dance Troupe, Hayag Publication at College of Arts, Science and Education, na kinatawan ni Dr. Ruen Lomo. Ang sektor ng mga sining sa sayaw (Non-Government Organization) ay kinatawan ng Marikina, Culture and the Arts Council-Marikina Dance Guild. Ang pangunahing taga-pagpadaloy ng programa ay si Aaron DG. Santos, kasama sina Antonio Quilinao Trinidad
Malou de Guzman, bilang taga-pagpadaloy ng tatlong bahagi ng maka-sining na kuwentuhan (Cultural Storytelling).

Pagkatapos ng mga paglalahad, nagkaroon ng pagkakataon upang ang nagsidalo ay magtanong sa mga naglahad. Ito ay sinundan ng iba't-ibang repleksyon mula sa mga kabataang magaaral, mula sa kaangkan, mula sa academya at sa manlilikha ng sining. Naging napakahalagang bahagi ang pagbibigay ng pangako (Commitment) ang iba't-ibang sektor (Academya, NGO, MeMar, Ka-angkan at mga manlilikha ng sining) upang ipagpatuloy ang mga programa na kagaya ng Salamyaan, na magdodokumento ng mga oral na salaysay. Ang produkto ng mga ganitong gawain ay magiging matibay na batayan at parte ng pagsasaliksik, upag makabuo ng nakasulat na Kasaysayan ng Marikina, na maipapasa sa susunod na henerasyon.

As the Panagbenga festival comes to an end, the Marikina Cultural Group showcased different Philippine folk dances.

Dances like the Precolonial, Kariyala, Pindulas, Coming of the Spaniards, Estudyantina, Chavacano de Zamboanga, Fiesta na, Bisaya Medley, Tinikling, and Marikina March.

The Marikina Cultural Group is a combination of different groups coming from,

*Marikina Dance Guild
*PLMar Dance Troupe
*PLMar Chamber Singers
*Batlaya Theater Guild
*Sta. Elena Highschool SPA Rondalla

And in collaboration with the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group Rondalla
