What to do in this beautiful town of Mati, Davao Oriental?

Mati is 3-4 hours away from Davao City by van. Definitely worth it to include in your Davao Travel itinerary!

* Chill, Camp and Surf at Dahican Beach
* Try Ultralight plane (1- or 2-seat fixed-wing aircraft) at the Mindanao Saga Flying Club
* Visit the modern Subangan Museum
*Trek the Sleeping Dinosaur

Looking for a budget trip for you and your barkada this summer 2017? Why not invite your friends to hike Mt.Gulugod-Baboy in Mabini,Anilao,Batangas! Budget for you and your 5 friends is a little more than 1000 pesos (with side trip to Sombrero/Oscar Island), a little bit pricier than other destinations, but the experience is worth it!

How to commute to Philpan Diving Resort/Mt.Gulugod-Baboy in Anilao:

Ride any Batangas-Pier-bound bus in LRT Buendia or Cubao and alight at the Grand Terminal in Batangas (Fare is 157 pesos). Ride a jeep to Mabini town proper (or direct to Philpan Diving Resort if you can negotiate with the driver) and ride a tricycle to Philpan Diving Resort. (Jeep to Town Proper = 37 Pesos, Tricycle to Philpan = 40 pesos/passenger, or Jeep direct to Philpan = 100+ pesos/passenger). From Philpan just walk to the registration area (if you would like to hike the mountain or hire a boat to Sombrero/Fortaleza Island).

Total travel time:
LRT Buendia to Grand Terminal(Bus): 2 hours
Grand Terminal to Mabini Town(Jeep): 1 hour or less
Mabini Town to Philpan Resort(Tricy): 30 minutes

In our case, we went to Philpan Resort after our hike, paid the entrance fee, hired a table, grilled some bbq and enjoyed the cool sea and the amazing sunset in Batangas.

This past weekend, me and some friends went to hike Mt.Gulugod-Baboy in Mabini,Anilao,Batangas. The usual jump-off point is a walking distance away from Philpan Diving Resort. It's a beautiful place especially in the afternoon waiting for the mighty sun to set. It is definitely one of the best sunsets I have ever seen in my life.

500 PESOS BUDGET DAY HIKE to MT.MANALMON in San Miguel, Bulacan!

It’s one of the most famous day trip destinations in the Metro because you can pack so much activities in one day. The hike to the peak is only like an hour or more (depending on your pace) so you have more time to explore the Madlum river and Bayukbok cave.

HOW TO COMMUTE TO MT.MANALMON
Ride a Cabanatuan-bound bus in EDSA-Cubao
(Fare is 117 pesos + ) and ask the driver to drop you off Brgy.Kamias, San Miguel, Bulacan. From there, ride a tricycle to Sitio Madlum / starting point for Mt.Manalmon and Mt. Gola.

You need a permit before you are allowed to hike Mt.Manalmon or Mt.Gola.
