For thirteen years, my life has been measured in frames. I have spent a lifetime standing just outside the light, chasing the fleeting glances, archiving the quiet promises, and telling the love stories of countless others. It is a beautiful craft, but it always meant being the observer.
Nothing quite prepares you for the shift when the camera finally turns around.
Standing out here in the quiet vastness of the dunes, the noise of production faded away. There was no directing, no staging, no looking past the moment to capture it. For the first time, I wasn’t looking through a viewfinder to find a homeI was holding it. After a long season of documenting beautiful beginnings for the world, it is finally, beautifully, our turn.
