Sirius Espresso : A Hidden Brutalist Café in Plaridel, Bulacan ☕🖤
If you're into minimalist cafés, aesthetic interiors, and good food, then Sirius Espresso in Tabang, Plaridel deserves a spot on your list.
The first thing you'll notice is its unique brutalist-inspired design. The cement-colored walls, black railings, real plants placed on every table, and warm dim lighting create a cozy yet modern atmosphere. Add the overlooking windows with views of the village, and you have a café that's perfect for Instagram photos, catching up with friends, working remotely, or even bringing out a few board games while enjoying a cup of coffee.
We visited on a Wednesday evening around 6–7 PM, and the café wasn't crowded at all. Being tucked away inside a village gives it a peaceful and quiet vibe that can be hard to find nowadays.
What We Ordered 🍽️
⭐ Truffle Pasta
The star of the meal for us. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. What makes it even better is that you can choose how much truffle you want—from mild to generous. If you're a truffle lover, this is definitely a must-try.
🍟 Parmesan Fries
Exactly what you'd expect: crispy fries topped with parmesan cheese. Simple, satisfying, and great for sharing.
☕ Iced Latte
Smooth and familiar. It honestly reminded us of something you'd get from Starbucks, which is a compliment.
🥤 Sirius Iced Tea
A refreshing house blend that paired well with the food. Nothing overly fancy, just a well-made iced tea that does its job.
Now for the only real downside: the price.
For our order, we spent around ₱800–₱900, which may feel expensive considering the portion sizes and the fact that it's a café. However, you're not just paying for the food. You're also paying for the ambiance, comfort, privacy, and overall experience. Everything we ordered tasted good, the service was excellent, and the place itself was somewhere we'd happily spend a few hours in.
If you're planning to host a meetup, study session, or shoulder the bill for a group, just keep the pricing in mind.
