“Things You Wanted to Say but Never Did” by Geloy Maligaya Concepcion was more than just an exhibit, it felt like stepping into the quietest and most honest parts of people’s hearts.
What stayed with me the most were the handwritten notes, letters, and stories strangers left behind for other people to read. Some were slipped inside books, some were pinned on walls — small pieces of people carrying emotions they probably couldn’t say out loud before.
And somehow, while reading words from people I’ve never even met, I felt understood too.
For a moment, I realized I wasn’t alone in my grief, healing, heartbreak, longing, or in trying to become okay again. Someone out there knows exactly how it feels. And even without knowing each other, it felt comforting — like a quiet tap on the shoulder saying, “we’ll get through this.”
The photos, the letters, the emotions — everything about the exhibit felt deeply human. I spent more than an hour just taking everything in, slowly reading, staring, feeling.
And I left carrying little pieces of strangers’ stories with me long after I walked out. ✨
