Great things take time like magic and though they don't last forever, they make every moment beyond surreal.

Elves are known to be powerful creatures. With their long lifespan, there's so much potential in them and that difference alone could not make us compatible with them.
Magic has become common to mankind, but elven magic is lost into oblivion, such is the dilemma of a race whose devoted not to survivability but wisdom.
I come from a long line of human royalty, however my birth is a special case. Being a half elf, my existence is a taboo both for the royal family and the elven world. Still, I could enjoy the best of both worlds, just by living a simple life dedicated to magical research.
As a human and an elf, I have both strong desire for wisdom and life. However, my loved ones would cease to exist earlier before me. It is as if living in an ashen maple forest.
Being adept at magic, having high affinity with nature, and having long ears, elves are pretty sensitive with their environment but since I'm a half-blood, I've pretty much adjusted to my surroundings.
I've long studied their nature, but I have yet to see one myself not until that one deciding moment. Back then, the environment was so dense, I could feel such intensity just from his presence. Is it magic or is he simply... Enchanting?
I cannot be certain myself, but he seemed to be familiar with the human realm despite being a full-blooded elf. Hmm? I can tell just from his aura. I thought they despise humans and yet I see one mingling with us. Also, there's something that's drawing me towards him and I can't pinpoint what that is, maybe I'll have to see it for myself.
Perhaps, he's an elf that's trying to get himself acquainted with the human realm in hopes of new knowledge or a quest major enough to force him to go out.
And as for me, of course I wanted to know my elven roots but I've lost connection with them long ago. I hope this is a start as I can't just keep researching about them forever.
We are living in two worlds apart and whether our seeds of hope take root, time will tellโa concept which long-lived species take for granted.
Will the magic fade like ancient texts of past glories or will it live on born as a new concept into this world? Time will tell, the incantation is still a ways off, but I cannot wait forever nor would any spell bind me to this world as he would.
