Sometimes, as photographers, our
intent tells the story, even more interesting when the heavens align to reveal our inner stories
through our photos. The title of my photograph was inspired by a poem by Preeyakit Buranasin
of the same name which has its major theme focusing on individuality as well as perceptions of
conflict and self. The subjects in the photos all have their own worlds, each a reflection of a
certain perception of self that we can relate to - A reflection of our varying personalities.
Sometimes, weโre the star, or maybe we create the starโฆ perhaps learning and observing, or
maybe just lost in our own little worlds, or it could be that weโre longing from a distance. Butโฆ
โWe are not confined to one or two, we are a spectrum of a whole rainbowโฆ We are, after all,
individualsโ. We, you and I can be uniquely spectacular in a world where people are confining
themselves with a single benchmark. The meaning is derived from the juxtaposition of colors
evident from photographs
