The “History Buff & Art Lover” (Detailed)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Espazio Arts + History truly lives up to its name. I was blown away by the “History” side of the cafe—seeing the old photos of the Leyte Landing on vintage TV sets and the rows of antique memorabilia makes for a very nostalgic experience. The “Arts” are just as impressive, with colorful murals and galleries that brighten up the interior.

The outdoor garden area is a breath of fresh air, decorated with fairy lights and inspirational quotes that make you want to stay all afternoon. As for the menu, the drinks and food are delicious and definitely hit the spot. It’s rare to find a place that is this spacious yet feels so personal and curated. A must-visit landmark in Tacloban!

Pro-tip: When you post this on Google Maps or Facebook, definitely include that photo of the old Sanyo TV and the garden view—those are the “money shots” that will really draw people in!

🥤 Sweet Tooth Heaven at JIV Sweets atbp.

If you’re wandering along Magsaysay Boulevard in Tacloban City and craving a sugar fix, you have to stop by the JIV Sweets atbp. pop-up stall. Their signature Choco Milo Overload is exactly what the name suggests—absolute chocolate chaos in the best way possible!

The Drink: 🍫
It’s a thick, rich chocolate base layered with shaved ice and evaporated milk, then piled high with an incredible mix of:

• Crunchy Oreo bits
• Colorful mini marshmallows and a heart-shaped mallow topper
• Candy-coated chocolates
• Chocolate wafer sticks and cubes

It is very sweet and unapologetically indulgent. If you have a serious sweet tooth, this will be your new favorite obsession.

The Vibes: 🌊
The location is one of the best parts. Since they are right on the boulevard, you get a stunning view of the sea while you enjoy your drink. It’s the perfect spot to catch the breeze, watch the waves, and treat yourself.

Quick Info:
• Location: Magsaysay Boulevard, Tacloban City (Look for the blue tent!)
• Availability: Open every day, so you can satisfy your cravings anytime.

“Chocolate Happiness in Every Sip” isn’t just a slogan here—it’s a promise!

0402 Coffee - Sto. Niño Ext., Tacloban City
We visited 0402 Coffee Cafe yesterday since almost all the coffee shops in the downtown area were packed because of Valentine’s Day. Luckily, this café was a hidden gem — calm, quiet, and not crowded at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to unwind or have a meaningful conversation, this is definitely the spot.

The ambiance is warm and cozy, perfect for relaxing or even getting a little work done. The atmosphere feels intimate and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable.

As for the food, their red velvet cheesecake was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. Every bite was satisfying! I also tried their Spanish latte with cinnamon powder, and it was so good. The blend of espresso and creamy sweetness with a hint of cinnamon made it extra special and comforting.

Overall, we had a great experience. Good coffee, great dessert, relaxing ambiance, and a peaceful environment — what more could you ask for? Highly recommended if you want to escape the busy downtown crowd in Tacloban City. ☕✨

☕️ 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠-𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠’𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐦: K.ape Café & Bistro
If you’re looking for a spot that serves culture alongside caffeine, you need to visit K.ape Café & Bistro in Alang-alang, Leyte. We dropped by and were absolutely blown away!

🎨 Heritage in a Cup
The first thing you’ll notice? The branding. Honestly, talbog ang Starbucks when it comes to their mugs and paper cups! They aren’t just generic café containers; they look like heritage art pieces honoring Leyte.

🥤 The Brews
I tried the Hot Kape Latik, and it was delicious—think of a Caramel Macchiato but with a distinct, creamy touch of coconut. I already have my eyes on the cold variant for my next visit (the one with the adorable melting teddy bear 🧸).

🖼️ The Vibe
The aesthetics here are 10/10. From the lush, tropical-themed ceiling with capiz shell accents and woven baskets to the gallery wall showcasing the history of Alang-alang, every corner is Instagrammable. It feels like a cozy museum-meets-bistro.

🍰 Sweets & Space
Their pastry display is dangerous! We saw everything from decadent blueberry cheesecakes to chunky chocolate muffins.

Note: The place was packed when we arrived, which is a testament to how popular it’s becoming. If you’re coming with a big group, you might have to wait a bit, but it’s worth it!

Verdict: Great coffee, stunning interiors, and a beautiful tribute to Leyteño culture. We’ll definitely be back!
