Activity title: Who am I?
Greetings, everyone. Before I share my thoughts and experiences, let me introduce myself. I'm Eldrige Nathan B. Banquil, a first-year student studying Mechanical Engineering Technology. With 18 years under my belt, I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery.
The question "Who am I?" has been a constant companion throughout my life, guiding me through the twists and turns of existence. It all began when I was just three years old. Amidst the innocent laughter of childhood, I found myself pondering life's mysteries. Why am I here? What's my purpose? These questions lingered, urging me to seek answers.
Seeking guidance, I turned to my father, hoping for clarity amidst the confusion. With a gentle smile, he reminded me of the essence of education, to learn, grow, and build connections. Embracing this wisdom, I reveled in the joy of childhood, cherishing each moment of play and laughter.
As I grew older, I started to have more questions about myself and the world around me. When I was eight years old, I began to wonder why I am the way I am and why I can't see things from someone else's point of view. It felt like I was stuck inside my own body, unable to understand what it's like to be someone else.
Feeling confused, I went to my teacher for help. She was patient and kind, and she helped me understand how our minds work and why we see things differently from others. She explained that even though I can't see through someone else's eyes, I can still try to understand them by listening and being empathetic.
The idea of being in someone else's body also fascinated me. I wondered what it would be like to swap bodies with someone else and experience life from their perspective. My teacher taught me that our bodies are special and unique, each with its own spirit and soul. She helped me see that our bodies are gifts from a higher power, and we should treat them with respect and care.
As I entered adolescence, I found myself searching for my purpose and identity once again. At fifteen, I turned to my mother for guidance. She told me that my purpose in life is to praise and worship the Heavenly Father. This revelation filled me with a sense of purpose and direction.
Embracing my divine calling, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment. I realized that knowing and understanding myself is essential to fulfilling my purpose in life. Through prayer, reflection, and introspection, I began to understand who I am and what I am meant to do in this world.
So growing up comes with its challenges and uncertainties. But through seeking guidance from wise mentors and exploring our beliefs and values, we can find clarity and purpose in our journey of self-discovery.
In the tapestry of existence, I am but a thread, woven with intention and purpose. Through curiosity and contemplation, I navigate the labyrinth of selfhood, guided by the whispers of wisdom and the light of divine truth.
As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of Rumi's words: "The wound is the place where the Light enters you." Each question, each moment of uncertainty, has been a beacon guiding me towards enlightenment, illuminating the path to self-discovery and divine connection.
In wrapping up, discovering who we are is like a never-ending adventure. It's not just about finding an answer to "Who am I?" but about enjoying the journey of learning and growing along the way.
As I look back on my experiences, I realize that every question and every challenge has helped me grow stronger and wiser. Each moment of uncertainty has been a chance for me to shine brighter and learn more about myself.
In this journey, I've come to understand that who I am isn't set in stone. It's like a painting that I keep adding colors to, making it more vibrant and beautiful with every stroke.
And I'm not alone on this journey. I've had the support and love of my family, friends, and mentors who've walked beside me, guiding me through the ups and downs of life.
As I think about the future, I feel grateful for all the lessons I've learned and excited about what lies ahead. Life is full of endless possibilities, and I'm eager to keep exploring, discovering, and growing every step of the way.
In the end, discovering who we are isn't just about finding an answer it's about embracing the journey with an open heart and a curious mind, knowing that every experience, every challenge, and every moment is a chance to become more fully ourselves.
