This shoot felt like coming home to a creative space I’ve missed for a while. Working with Shannea today for her 23rd birthday session was such a breath of fresh air. It's been a minute since we last collaborated, but from the moment we started, it was clear: the energy, the trust, the shared vision — all still there, just stronger.

What made today even more special was that it was also the first time I used my newly bought gear for portraits — the Nikon Z5 paired with the Viltrox 50mm f/2. I’ve been excited (and a bit nervous) to see how it would perform in a real session, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. The way it captured light, softness, and depth really brought something new to my workflow — and having someone like Shannea in front of the lens made it all come together so naturally.

I’m so proud of what we created today — not just the photos, but the feeling behind them.

7 years ago, I turned my name and my love for photography into one word: Fhayetographs.
No fancy studio — just open fields, thrifted props, DIY sets, and a heart that craved storytelling through light and real moments. I didn’t know where it would take me — only that I loved creating something honest and beautiful.

Today, Fhayetographs has grown into something quieter but just as meaningful: a self-portrait studio where people step in, take control of the shutter, and capture themselves as they are — raw, proud, and unfiltered.

Even as the direction changes, there’s still a space in me for the beginning. For the golden hour shoots, the soft chaos, the gentle kind of magic you can’t fake.

This dream was built on love, risk, and a whole lot of heart.

Thank you for walking beside me all these years. I carry every shoot, every face, every moment with me. 🤍

I’ve been away for almost two years, caught in a period of burnout that left me feeling lost and unsure of how to pick myself back. Focusing on my self-portrait studio has been a blessing, but it also came with its own challenges. I’ve missed photography deeply, yet felt disconnected from the passion that once fueled me.

As we enter 2025, I’m still finding my way, but I’m learning to embrace the journey and take things one step at a time. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. I’m not fully there yet, but I’m ready to keep going, reconnecting with what I love, and creating beautiful moments again.
