Artistic Intelligence (Human) x
Artificial Intelligence (Machine)

Artistic Intelligence (Human) — from real human experiences, emotions, and consciousness, (human emotional, cultural, and conceptual creativity).

Artificial Intelligence (Machine) — from training data, mathematical formulas, and pattern recognition, (computer algorithms and data processing).

Human artists (well some of these artist are naturally built talented) create with a specific intent, medium, craft, graphics, layout, design, message, or personal philosophy. AI generates outputs based on user prompts or commands (syempre the user itself is the mastermind) without understanding the emotional meaning of what it creates, kay computer ngani. NO EMOTIONS! And sadest thing, AI can only generate variations of matters that already exist in its database (which means a copycat), kay may SERVER ngani!

So, What’s the Point Of View?

Syempre, luoy ang mga artist in this generation — their skills and talents. Kagaya ng mga young artist, or nagsisimula pa lamang. Well, can you imagine their perspective while looking at an AI-generated output? It seems exasperating! Kaya ko naman gawin 'yan kasi that is my forte, my passion, my skills, my talent, and my profession as a professional artist. I have studied that for many years. I was trained and attended workshops and seminars to earn those skills. And yet, it was then overwhelmed by a machine. Sino ang kawawa? Kagaya ng mga Graphic Artists, Layout Artists, Cartoonists, or Photo Editors. Baka mawala na sila sa Visual and Technical fields or industries. Kasi nga, kung may Kastila na noo’y sumakop sa bansa natin at nag-impluwensya sa atin, ngayon naman ay AI. I am not totally against AI, huh, nakatabang sab na in terms of convenience. Nakakatulong din naman for some reasons. However, going beyond the limit and making the human just a prompter does not sound good. It feels like reducing human existence to floccinaucinihipilification.

Pahalagahan natin ang sariling kakayahan, talino, talento at ang abilidad na gumawa ng bago at produktibong antas ng pagiging isang tao — hindi ng isang makina o teknolohiya.
