The well-known Monal Restaurant was often blamed for contributing to the litter problem in the Margalla Hills. However, today the condition of the area tells a different story. The hillsides and roads appear increasingly covered with garbage, which raises important questions about the real causes of the problem.

During its operation, the restaurant’s staff were frequently seen actively cleaning the roadside areas and surrounding spaces. Their efforts, at least in part, helped maintain a certain level of cleanliness along the route. The current situation highlights how essential consistent management, responsibility, and maintenance are for preserving the natural beauty of such an important landscape.

🔵 Respected Citizens! Whenever you visit Margalla Hills or any other hill station where monkeys live, please avoid feeding them. Nature already provides them with far better and healthier food than we ever could.

Human food is harmful to their health and gradually changes their behavior, causing them to become aggressive and attack visitors. The Wildlife Department has also clearly displayed notices requesting everyone not to feed the monkeys.

Let’s respect wildlife and keep both animals and people safe. Thank You.
