Meet Muhammad Hussain; a man who has been doing Qurbani for over 50 years.
He once came with his father, then with his elder brother, and today with his own children.
Years passed, generations changed, but Hussain Uncle kept showing up every Eid.
More than a butcher; a tradition, a legacy, and a story worth telling. ❤️

Eid Drive ’26 — Day 2 📍 DHQ Hospital Vehari

Spent the second day of Eid where it truly mattered—sharing moments of joy in the paeds ward. From tiny gifts to even smaller smiles, it was a reminder that Eid isn’t just about celebration, it’s about showing up for others.

For me, real Eid has always been gaon ki Eid.
Where everything feels slower, simpler, and somehow more complete.
Waking up to the sound of everyone already up, getting ready together, the rush but also the calm.
Eid namaz, meeting everyone without planning it, going house to house like it’s a tradition written in our hearts.
No fancy setups, just genuine laughter, shared food, and that feeling of being surrounded by your own people.
It’s not just a day there, it’s a whole emotion.
Maybe we grew up, maybe things changed, but gaon ki Eid will always be the one that feels like home.

every eid feels the same in the best way…
going to nani ghar, the house full, everyone together, and somewhere in the middle of all the noise, nani is there quietly doing what she’s always done 🤍

making that same sawayian, the same way, without measurements, without rushing… just with years of habit and love.
we’ve had it so many times that we don’t even think about it anymore, it’s just there… like her.

you walk in and know you’ll find her in the same spot, serving everyone with that same warmth, making sure no one leaves without a full bowl.

but maybe that’s the thing.
it was never just about the dessert, it’s about nani, her hands, and the feeling of going back to her home every eid.

sitting together, passing bowls, hearing the same voices, living the same little traditions again and again…
this is what nani ghar feels like.

and maybe we don’t say it enough, but these are the moments that stay with you forever 🤍

straight out of a soft dream ft.Gulzar Mahal.
It was built in the early 1900s during the rule of Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan V, the last ruling Nawab of Bahawalpur. Unlike the grand Noor Mahal, this one was made more as a private residence, especially for members of the royal family.

Architecturally, Gulzar Mahal is inspired by a mix of European colonial and subcontinental styles—you’ll notice elegant balconies, arched windows, and a softer, more “home-like” royal vibe compared to bigger palaces.

Over time, as the princely state merged into Pakistan after 1947, the palace lost its original function. For years it stayed relatively quiet and less maintained, which is why it feels a bit forgotten yet poetic today.

Recently, there have been efforts to restore and preserve it, bringing some life back to the place—but it still holds that calm, slightly nostalgic feel… like it remembers its royal days.

That’s why when you see Gulzar Mahal in spring, it doesn’t just look pretty—it feels like you’re standing in a piece of Bahawalpur’s past 🫶🏼
