The sudden resignation of from her role as Vice Chancellor has cast a shadow over the future of Dawood University. Her leadership had brought much-needed stability, growth, and modernisation to the institution. The academic environment had become more structured, facilities were improved, and the university began to resemble the kind of place where students could genuinely thrive. Her efforts were not just administrative; they reflected a deep commitment to creating a healthy academic culture that prioritised learning, discipline, and institutional pride. Yet, despite these achievements, a section of the student body and particularly those who were account behind her decision have reacted with celebration, revealing a worrying disconnect from the real purpose of education. Their excitement seems rooted not in vision, but in short-term disruption and misguided activism. The danger lies in what comes next, without capable and sincere leadership, universities can quickly fall into decline. Those who fail to value progress today may soon find themselves in a crumbling system tomorrow. This moment is not just about a resignation; it’s a test of how seriously we take education and whether we are mature enough to protect the institutions that shape our future. In light of this, we respectfully urge , the Chancellor of the university to reconsider and not accept Dr Samreen Hussain’s resignation. Her continued leadership is vital for sustaining the momentum of progress and protecting the academic integrity of Dawood University.
