The students of BIMST Khaplu Campus participated in a practical session on Blood Grouping. During the activity, they learned about the different blood groups and the basic principles of blood typing.

Under the guidance of their instructors, the students performed blood grouping tests and observed the reactions used to identify blood groups such as A, B, AB, and O, along with the Rh factor. The practical activity provided them with valuable hands-on experience and helped them better understand the importance of blood grouping in medical science.

The session was informative, engaging, and an excellent opportunity for the students to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory skills.

First Aid Session: Choking Prevention & Emergency Response 🚑

An essential First Aid session was successfully conducted at BIMST College by the Rescue 1122 team. The session focused on raising awareness among students regarding immediate and effective actions to take during a choking emergency.

During the session, students received hands-on, practical training on how to perform life-saving techniques if someone’s airway becomes blocked.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated Rescue 1122 team for delivering such an incredibly useful, interactive, and practical training session! 🙌

فرسٹ ایڈ سیشن – چوکنگ (گھٹن) سے بچاؤ اور فوری امداد

BIMST کالج میں Rescue 1122 کی جانب سے ایک اہم فرسٹ ایڈ سیشن منعقد کیا گیا، جس میں طلبہ کو چوکنگ (گھٹن) کی ایمرجنسی صورتحال میں فوری اور مؤثر اقدامات کے بارے میں آگاہی دی گئی۔

سیشن کے دوران طلبہ کو عملی طور پر سکھایا گیا کہ اگر کسی کے گلے میں کوئی چیز پھنس جائے تو کس طرح اس کی جان بچائی جا سکتی ہے۔

A Step Towards Saving Lives

As Khaplu currently has no blood bank, timely access to blood during emergencies remains a major challenge.

Keeping this need in mind, the students of Baltistan Institute of Medical Science and Technology (BIMST), Khaplu Campus, in collaboration with Hussaini Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre Khaplu, voluntarily conducted a blood sampling campaign on the 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram.

A database of voluntary blood donors has been established to help ensure that compatible blood can be arranged quickly whenever an emergency arises. This initiative aims to reduce delays in critical situations and provide timely support to patients in need.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the students and volunteers whose commitment to humanity has made this meaningful initiative possible. Together, we can make a real difference and help save lives.
