تمام جنگجو تلواریں نہیں اٹھاتے۔
کچھ کیری ریڑھ کی ہڈی۔

وہ قاتلانہ حملے سے بچ گیا جس کا مقصد اسے مٹانا تھا۔
اس نے کئی دہائیوں تک اقتصادی پابندیوں کو کچلنے سے گزارا جس کا مقصد ایک قوم کو توڑنا تھا۔
وہ مسلسل دباؤ کے تحت کھڑا رہا—فوجی، سیاسی، نفسیاتی—جس کا مطلب زبردستی تسلیم کرنا تھا۔

پھر بھی وہ کبھی نہیں جھکا۔

دھمکیوں کے چکر میں وہ ثابت قدم رہا۔
جب تنہائی عائد کی گئی تھی، اس نے برداشت کیا۔
جب کہ وقار کی قیمت پر سمجھوتہ کی پیشکش کی گئی، اس نے انکار کر دیا۔

یہ سکون کی زندگی نہیں تھی۔
یہ مزاحمت کی زندگی تھی۔

تاریخ بہت سے لوگوں کو یاد رکھے گی جنہوں نے حفاظت کا انتخاب کیا۔
لیکن یہ صرف چند کو یاد ہے جنہوں نے ثابت قدمی کا انتخاب کیا جب جھکنا آسان ہوتا۔

اس نے طوفانوں کے ذریعے ایک وجہ کا وزن اٹھایا جو اسے ڈوبنے کے لئے ڈیزائن کیا گیا تھا۔
اور اس سب کے ذریعے وہ بے حرکت رہا-
اس لیے نہیں کہ وہ درد سے اچھوتا تھا،
لیکن کیونکہ سزا خوف سے زیادہ تھی۔

ایک جنگجو کی تعریف صرف فتح سے نہیں ہوتی۔
ایک جنگجو کی تعریف جھکنے سے انکار سے ہوتی ہے۔

اللہ آپ کو جنت میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے۔
