Reading these old records books takes you more than a century back in time.
These record books, dating from 1897 to 1918, have survived for more than a century. They contain details of daily life expenses, transactions, social welfare projects but today, those details have become extraordinary glimpses into the world our ancestors lived in. Every entry feels like a small conversation with the past. Sadly, many other records that were once kept in our family’s hujra were lost with time.
