"Behind the Scenes of This Brave-Inspired Portrait 🌿❄️"

This photo was inspired by the fearless and bold Merida from Disney's Brave. Here's how the final image came to life, step by step:

1️⃣ The Photoshoot:
The session was captured in a snowy outdoor setting with soft natural light, which beautifully complemented the green dress and fiery red hair of the model. The boys added playful, dynamic energy to the scene, creating a balanced composition.

2️⃣ Post-Production in Photoshop:

Composite Work: Multiple images were combined to ensure each subject was perfectly positioned and captured at their best. For example, I took the most expressive poses from individual shots and seamlessly merged them into one frame.
Background Enhancement: Snowy elements and the depth of the forest were accentuated to add a touch of enchantment, reminiscent of a magical winter fairytale.
Color Grading: The green dress was slightly enhanced to make it more vibrant, contrasting beautifully with the snowy whites and earthy tones. The red hair was also refined to give it a warm, glowing effect that echoes Merida’s iconic look.
Skin and Detail Retouching: Subtle skin smoothing and sharpening were applied to highlight natural features without losing authenticity.
3️⃣ Adding Drama and Atmosphere:

I used soft brushes and gradients to enhance the lighting, especially around the model, creating a soft spotlight effect.
Gentle snow overlays were added to amplify the wintery feel, giving the image a dreamy, cinematic vibe.
4️⃣ Final Adjustments:
Small tweaks in composition, like ensuring balance between the subjects and the surrounding elements, were made. The final touches involved adjusting contrast, brightness, and adding a slight vignette for focus.

Lighting Adjustments: Softening the highlights and adding a subtle glow for a dreamy atmosphere.
Color Grading: Enhancing the tones in the dress and background to complement the subject’s natural beauty.
Depth and Focus: Bringing clarity to the subject while subtly blurring the background for a polished look.

I recorded a tutorial in which I show how to efficiently edit photos in Lightroom and Photoshop, incorporating the newest tools that the software offers.
In the tutorial I will show and describe how to develop a raw image and adjust the settings for the remaining pictures.

You will also get a preset that I created which will help you achieve this kind of edit.
