Spent some time shooting portraits with the new realme 16 Pro+ and honestly… the focal lengths are surprisingly fun to work with

Crazy how much the mood changes just by switching perspectives.
23mm feels raw and cinematic, 46mm super natural, while 80mm gives that classic compressed portrait look.

Personally, I got most attached to the 23mm. Getting physically closer to the subject adds a different kind of energy to the frame, more immersive, less “perfect”, way more alive.

Lately I’ve been turning photo walks into small solo games.
Pick one rule, stick to it, see what the city gives back.
Sometimes it’s shapes. Sometimes it’s people, motion, color.

This time it was yellow. Golden hour made the choice for me.
Everything started to glow a bit softer, a bit warmer. Even the most ordinary spots felt like they were part of the same story.
Shot on realme 16 Pro+ Ceremony filter did its thing, honestly built for this kind of wandering. Street, portraits, whatever you throw at it. Same city. Different rules.

Didn’t expect much when I stepped out for a quick photo walk, phone in one hand and a camera in the other. Then the city flipped the switch.
Golden hour hit, but with fog!
Everything was moving fast. Light shifting every second, scenes appearing and disappearing before I could fully catch them. I was basically chasing frames. Having the realme on me really changed the game in that moment, it simply gave me more freedom, let me react faster and catch way more scenes as they were happening.
A few iconic Gdynia spots, but dressed in something completely different this time. Soft, quiet, almost unreal.
Perfect excuse to push the realme 16 Pro+ a bit too. Played around with some creative filters and yeah, Ceremony and Golden really did their thing.

First photo walk with the realme 16 Pro+ and I went all in on street and city architecture.

Honestly, shooting in normal mode and just playing with filters felt way more fun than expected. It’s such a smooth starting point for further edits later on.
For those raw, industrial spots, CCD Warm Flash and Tone of Light were my go-to. They just hit the right mood without overdoing it.
Closer to the water, things shifted. Film C 200 Mountain started to shine and gave those scenes a softer, almost cinematic feel straight on the screen.

All of this, still in normal mode.

Can’t wait to dive into Vibe Master next and see how far I can push it.

Shot this one on the realme 16 pro+ and honestly… kinda love how it handled black & white street portraits.
There’s something about stripping it down to pure light and shadow that just hits different in the city.
The sensor holds up really well, plenty of detail, nice contrast, no weird artifacts when you push it a bit. And having those focal options on hand (1x, 3.5x, 10x) makes it super easy to switch between wide context and tight, compressed portraits without killing the flow.

Also, big shoutout to the battery. I was shooting, filming backstage, running around non stop and it just kept going. No stress, no “sh*t I’m at 5%” moments.
