Our very first .polska.living cover — and what an honor it is.
Even more special because it features a project that means a lot to us: the Książek family home in Tarnów, designed by Kraków architect Wojciech Pietrzyk. He created not only the building itself but every element of the interior. Thanks to the care and dedication of Dr. Książek and his family, it has survived almost untouched — a true Gesamtkunstwerk.
The house is now on the market, looking for an owner who will truly appreciate its legacy. An online petition has been launched, calling on the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to “purchase and preserve for future generations this unique work of Polish modernist architecture — the Książek Villa in Tarnów.”
And that’s exactly what we wish for it.
