I met Karina in Kraków city. She travelled from Ukraine to Poland, then to Israel to find a safe spot during this hectic time.

We connected and Karina stayed with me for a week.

We became friends immediately and had some really good time, complemented by this spontaneous shoot.

I miss you, Sister!! You are a fantastic soul and a strong woman. I can’t wait to hear how everything turns out in Ukraine and that you’re safe to come back to your beloved motherland.

I photograph people and listen to their stories.

Working with Cllr. Maria Dollard on her professional portraits, we discussed the image of female politicians in media, a growing awareness, the challenges for women in politics and her work at the Kilkenny County Council. After all, we created strong, yet approachable portraits.
