"The mysterious windows of the Sultan of Delhi's harem.
Everyone who caught a glimpse of the most beautiful of beauties behind these walls was enchanted.
Here and there in the evening breeze one could see the bright red, the azure blue of the waving saris or the magnificent glitter of the noble jewels of the most beautiful harem ladies the eye had ever beheld.
Amar only hoped to look once more into the sea-blue eyes of the "white" harem lady Menaka. Her name meant "heavenly lady" and she was. Her skin was white like milk, her eyes blue like the vast sea and her hair golden like the sunshine."

Their father was so proud that he gave these clocks to the arcade for this reason. Every year on 31 December at the stroke of midnight, the melody 'Ode to Joy' resounds in the striking mechanism."
