I visited Pasvik National Park in July 2026.
I had high expectations for the visit, as the area is home to Norway's largest brown bear population, as well as moose, wolverines, reindeer, and unique taiga bird species.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to see much wildlife. I only got a photo of a common sandpiper :)
Nevertheless, I had a wonderful time, as the park's natural scenery is stunning.
Many Scots pine trees in the park reach ages between 300 and 400 years old. The landscape mirrors the continental Siberian taiga, characterized by widely spaced, ancient pine trees and flat terrain.
