There's something tragic about this little tree, standing there alone, only brick buildings around.

I took this picture some time ago in London, somewhere around Abby Road. Sometimes I wonder if it's still there and how tall did it grow.

It's different from most of my photos. But I like it for moving my emotions and imagination. I also love its simple and geometrical form.

For a short period of my life I was living in London. I really enjoyed my time in this city and I wish to come back there one day. I love its architecture, art, atmosphere and nature.

One of things I miss the most are my endless walks across London parks (with my camera, of course 📷).

During one of such walks I took this picture. It's a grey heron, a common bird in the UK.

It caught my eye, because it seemed as though with its posture and colours it wanted to imitate birch trees behind it. Also, just like flowers around, it was facing the sun ☀️

This scene made me think of how amazing nature is. In all the diversity of creation, there are features and patterns that are shared across different species.

That is why looking at this picture reminds me that, just like this bird, I'm also a part of nature. It brings me a sense of oneness and peace.

I would love to see this picture in a wooden frame that matches the greens in the picture. I see it in a rather smaller size, maybe standing on a shelf, so I could take it in my hand and take a moment to contemplate the details.

Another window in my collection 🪟❤ This time we’re looking from a dark, industrial inside out to a sunny field. I think that this contrast is a main factor for creating a sense of longing for the outside, rural world. I really like how the window becomes a natural frame of the composition, being a main character of the picture at the same time.

I imagine it as a poster that would imitate an additional window in the room. In that way you will have a sunny view, all year long.

And what are your feelings looking at this picture? Would you like to have such an additional window in your room all year?

If I were to choose signature pieces to represent my photography, this one would be on top of the list.

Why I think it's so special?

Pastel colours of twilight sky evoke calmness and silence. Stripes of clouds, sea and forest create firm geometrical context to the subtle gradient of the sky. A little bright dot of the Moon keep on catching your attention and makes eyes coming back up to the sky. Two birds below the moon and a ship on a horizon are showing up after a closer look. For me, all together create a feeling of peace and mysteriousness.

I imagine this piece as a middle size print (40x60 cm) in a light wooden frame on a blank wall so that it's a focus point of the space. In that way it will be drawing your eyes and giving you a bit of calmness during the day.
