I have something for the warmer days that will surely be arriving soon🙃
I know there are many fans of this version of the Vision3 - 50D. Starting today, you can buy it in the online store. Enjoy!

Interesting fact. Of the 10 films nominated for an Oscar, half were shot on film: “Bugonia” (35mm - Kodak Vision3 50D, Kodak Vision3 250D, Kodak Vision3 500T, Kodak Double-X), “Marty Supreme” (35mm - Kodak Vision3 500T), “One Battle After Another” (35mm - Vision3 250D, Vision3 200T, Vision3 500T), “Sentimental Value” (35mm - Kodak Vision3 50D, Vision3 250D, Vision3 200T, Vision3 500T), “Sinners” (65mm - Kodak Vision3 500T, Ektachrome 100D).
These are strong favorites in 12 key categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Screenplay, Best Casting, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, and Best Sound.
So this year's biggest winner will undoubtedly be Kodak Vision3 and the analog format!

Shot on film!

It's been a while since I wrote anything about films shot on film. It's time to catch up. Following the trail of non-Hollywood films, I'm presenting a French production from this year – Reflet dans un Diamant Mort directed by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani. It was shot on Vision3 50D and 500T, but in 16mm. It turned out interesting. Unfortunately, the promotional materials can be misleading, as in reality, it's an experimental, psychedelic rollercoaster. It's definitely not a classic feature film, and it's definitely not an action movie :P
You can probably still see the film in arthouse cinemas, at least in Poland. I had the opportunity (and luck, because it was canceled after a few days of screening :P) to see it at the Cinema City multiplex.
Regardless, I recommend it, as it's quite an interesting experience. I had very mixed feelings after leaving the cinema, but over time, the positive impressions prevailed. So much so, that I plan to check out their earlier productions.

The fact that movies are shot on film these days is obvious. But TV series?! I was quite surprised that a lot of series have been shot on Vision3 in recent years (Succession, Euphoria...).
The biggest surprise, however, was the series Fallout, which I love and highly recommend. I was incredibly surprised, but also happy, when, while watching the first episode, I began to strongly suspect it was film!
The second season has just started, and the second episode was released today. If you haven't watched it, you'll have a lot of fun. The series is available on Prime Video.

Hi! Some of you may already know, and some may not. Kodak has released a new version of Vision3 – AHU (Anti-Halation Undercoat) which doesn't have a remjet layer, meaning it can now be developed using C-41 process without any problems. Besides that, it's the exact same film, so the name hasn't changed to, for example, Vision4. Starting today, it's officially in my offer. It will replace Vision3 with remjet, which I'll be using exclusively for producing films from the HAS65 line.
And another new release: EXP2 100T film, which is expired Vision2 500T without remjet layer. The vibe of expired film, plus halation, and the ability to develop using the C-41 process – I've created a small and inexpensive monster :P
The photos show samples shot at 50 and 100 ISO.
Quantity is limited, as I only have one 120m can of this film. If you like it and it ends, I'll look for other expired films and do the same with them.

Fifty shades of redscale RED
How our photos will come out on redscale film depends on many factors. ISO setting, aperture, weather conditions and also the use of a specific scanner. And sometimes even with the same settings and conditions, the next photo can come out completely different. I am currently working on an in-depth text about redscale films, in which I will share my conclusions.
In the meantime, great photos by Marcin on the film

One hundred years ago, on April 1st, one of the most outstanding Polish filmmakers was born. Wojciech Jerzy Has. Two months ago we celebrated the 60th anniversary of premiere of his "The Saragossa Manuscript".
Two years ago, on April 1st, I shot my first roll of analog film (since 1988). It was of course a Kodak Vision3 500T. Pushed to 1600 ISO. And that's where it all started.
So far, only few people have asked me about origins of name - HAS65 project. I think I could count them on fingers of one hand. However, on such an occasion and in connection with this extraordinary coincidence it is worth mentioning it. When I came up with name during a chat with Maciej, it was a quick action. I immediately thought of a tribute to polish cinematography, especially the most outstanding from the 50s and 60s. And Wojciech Jerzy Has immediately came to my mind because of his short, cool name, and of course one of most famous and appreciated polish films in the world - "The Saragossa Manuscript" which was made in 1964 and premiered on February 9, 1965. And that's how the name HAS65 came about.
I recommend our cinematography from 50s and 60s to all people from Poland, if you don't know it well. However, I especially recommend it to everyone from outside Poland. There is a website with charming name 35mm.online, where for a ridiculous 3 EUR per month you have access to great polish films from years 1940-2025. All digitally reconstructed, with english subtitles.
First up, I suggest a selection by Martin Scorsese, who is a great fan of polish cinema and organized a series of screenings in US and Canada 10 years ago: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Scorsese_Presents:_Masterpieces_of_Polish_Cinema
And then, if you feel like it, I recommend others. Especially films by Piotr Szulkin and Krzysztof Kieślowski from 90s (Three Colors: White - a must!).

First photo is of course a still from "The Saragossa Manuscript". Rest of photos are described.

Tak właśnie, wszystkie filmy dostępne w sklepie na stronie. Do wyboru, do koloru. Filmy czarno-białe, kolorowe i efektowe. Jeśli nie chcecie go traktować jak film efektowy, najlepiej trzymać go w lodówce, a kiedy chcecie go użyć do sesji zdjęciowej, najlepiej zużyć go w ciągu jednego dnia, a potem od razu go wywołać. Ew. znowu wsadzić do lodówki, zanim trafi do labu.
No i w przeciwieństwie do innych redscale posiadają silny efekt halacji, co daje pewną wartość dodaną.
