Katedra w Mediolanie zrekompensowała stanie w długich kolejkach. Nie żałuję, że mogłam się tam pojawić i poznać jej piękno z tak bliska. Detale architektoniczne nieodwracalnie ukradły moje serce, a zachwyt, jaki towarzyszył mi na miejscu, wciąż powraca z tą samą siłą za każdym razem, gdy zerkam na folder swoich wspomnień. W miejscach takich jak to, nie wiadomo na co spoglądać, wszystko angażuje zmysły i zachęca do zatopienia się w swojej historii.

Milan Cathedral more than compensated for standing in the long lines. I certainly do not regret going there and experiencing its beauty so up-close. The architectural details irrevocably stole my heart, and the awe I felt while being there still comes back with the same force every time I have a peek at my memories folder. In places like this you don't know where to look, everything engages the very senses and invites you to immerse yourself in its history.

Żeby nie było tylko czarno-biało. Czas pokazać kolejną część siebie, ale w kolorze. Jako wolontariusz w Warszawskim Zoo mam doskonałą okazję, by biernie uczestniczyć w życiu zebranych tam wspaniałych zwierząt.
Irbisy śnieżne z mojej obserwacji są kapryśne, jeśli chodzi o ujawnianie swojej obecności. Bywają dni, że wybieg świeci pustkami, ilekroć by się nie przechodziło obok. Fotografia zwierząt to wielka szkoła cierpliwości. To jak praca z głuchym i ślepym modelem, który w dodatku nie wie, że są mu robione zdjęcia.
Dobrze znane określenie "decydującego momentu" nabiera tu szczególnego znaczenia.
Jednakże pozorna nieprzewidywalność i chaos, z jakim można spotkać się na początku, z biegiem czasu okazuje się pewnym wzorcem zachowań. By odkryć go, wystarczy stanąć obok i obserwować, nierzadko długimi godzinami, będąc jednocześnie gotowym, by w każdej chwili być otwartym na czynną reakcję.

So that it's not just black and white. It's time to show another part of myself, but in color. As a volunteer in Warsaw Zoo I have a great opportunity to passively participate in life of wonderful animals gathered there.
Snow Irbises according to my observation are rather capricious when it comes to making their presence known. Certainly there are days when the enclosure is empty whenever you pass by. Animal photography is a great school of patience. It is like working with a deaf and blind model, who in addition does not know that photographs are being taken of him.
The well-known term "decisive moment" acquires a special meaning here.
However, the seeming unpredictability and chaos one may encounter at the beginning turns out to be a certain pattern of behavior over the course of time. To discover it, it is enough to stand by and observe, often for long hours, while being ready to be open to an immediate active response.

Nostalgia. Sunące się mgły poranka zdeterminowały cały krajobraz. Był to piękny nadbużański moment tuż przed objawieniem się tarczy słońca. Wilgotna powierzchnia łąki starała się wypchnąć mnie ze swojej przestrzeni, pozbyć się intruza, który zaburzał spójność krajobrazu, który starał się uchwycić. Ludzka ingerencja jednak była konieczna, by spróbować ukraść trochę magii - takiej w pełnym tego słowa znaczeniu. Nie cukierkowej, białej, nieskalanej i czystej, lecz takiej, która krzyczy z cieni uchwyconych przez obraz.

Nostalgia. The floating mists of the morning determined the whole landscape. It was a beautiful moment by the Bug River just before the shield of the sun appeared. The moist surface of the meadow was trying to oust me from its space, to get rid of the intruder that disturbed the coherence of the landscape it was trying to capture. The human intrusion, however, was necessary to try to steal some magic - one in the full sense of the word. Not the candy-colored, white, undefiled and pure one, but one that screams from the shadows captured by the image.
