It is nice to be part of Futures Photography 2021 and being nominated by Fotofestiwal Lodz along with other great artists

We are happy to announce another group of artists to join Futures this year. The five artists were nominated by Fotofestiwal Lodz. They are Karolina Ćwik, Yulia Krivich, Maxim Sarychau, Bartłomiej Talaga and Milena Soporowska.⁠

I am thrilled to take part in art-residency in Brest! I will work on my project about soviet monumental mosaics on bus-stops and feeling of waiting.
This will be continuation of project that I was working in Ukraine in 2018/19.

Очень рад попасть в отбор на участие в арт-резиденции от Фонд развития Брестской крепости этой осенью! Продолжу колесить бездорожье в поисках уходящей красоты - остановок с советскими монументальными мозаиками.
Это будет продолжение серии, которую я снимал в Украине в 2018/19.

Мы признательны художницам и художникам, которые подали заявку в арт-резиденцию! Еще раз благодарим за Ваши идеи, время и интерес к резиденции.
Фонд получил 18 заявок и перед жюри стояла непростая задача сделать выбор из множества интересных, важных и разноплановых проектов.
В ближайшие месяцы Брест посетят Алексей Толстов, Дарья Трофимова, Илона Дергач и Максим Сарычев!🙌
Будем держать в курсе событий резиденции!

As none of us could have guessed that the global pandemic will strike the world, we could not have planned for a revolution to happen Belarus. Big thanks to our author Hannah Liubokava and photographer Maxim Sarychau Photography who managed to realise a great interview from a country in turmoil. For our last portrait of , Alexandra Chichikova - former Miss Wheelchair World and inclusion activist talks about reproductive health for women with disabilities and calls for a more open society.

"A few years ago, I visited a gynaecologist who started asking me why I wanted to have children because I’m in a wheelchair. I was 19, so it was like a cold shower for me. Since then, I understood that I wanted to work towards finding equality between men and women; women with and without disabilities," - says Alexandra.
