These are the moments you are going to look back on when they are too big to sit in your lap anymore, when they go off to college, when they get married, when they have their own kids. These are the photos that will transport you back to this season of their lives, when snuggles were common and they still had that child wonderment and giggles.

But these moments only happen when we let them be children. When we let them explore and show us the world through their eyes.

For all my parents out there wanting those perfect “look at the camera and smile” photos. Yes of course we will get that, but this, this is the magic we are looking for.

It rained off and on all day but thanks to Abe & Alyssa’s flexibility, trust and a solid backup plan, we were able to catch the small window of clear weather and make Alyssa’s dream ocean side, toes in the sand, intimate wedding come true.

Would we have preferred a sunny clear sky? Of course but nature gave us a gorgeous purple clouds instead and we happily took the win.

If you’ve ever asked “what if it rains”, this is your sign to trust the process, trust your team. Plan the wedding of your dreams then roll with the punches when they come and you will have an amazing wedding day no matter the weather.
