An open letter to the hopeless romantics 💌
Desde pequeña siempre escuché la palabra “sentimental”. Y durante mucho tiempo pensé que serlo era una de mis mayores debilidades. ¿Por qué sentía todo con tanta intensidad?
Mientras más lo cuestionaba, menos sentido tenía,
porque what a beautiful thing it is to feel deeply. Ahí entendí mi propósito. Yo no creo arte para que me entiendan, yo comparto historias para que otros se sientan entendedidos. And that it’s okay to be sentimental, romantic, emotional for the simplest things in life. Y eso nos hace únicamete humanos.

I’ve always considered myself an observer.
Este año quiero reinventar la forma en que veo la vida. Observarla con más intención, romantizar lo cotidiano y escribir lo que pienso, aunque me dé miedo de ser vulnerable ante ustedes. Y tengo una inquietud de explorar lo que tengo que ofrecer en este mundo, as an artist, as a human, and as a soul searching for a purpose.

My name is Alanis "Antonmattei" Colina. I was born and raised in a Caribbean island; Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 When I was thirteen, my dad gifted me a camera and it was love at first sight 📸 Since then, I knew that photography was not going to be a hobby but my passion!
As I developed a never-ending love for photography, I fell in love with the world of writing and blogging. That’s when I decided to combine the two things that I loved the most, thus creating this beautiful platform: The A Project.
I am currently finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Arts of Communication in Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, majoring in Photography. I've also covered hands-on experiences such as advertising, marketing, photojournalism, and film. My next step is to explore the world and tell a compelling story through the lens! 📽
I want my clients to see the work as more than just a photo session, more than just a blog post, but rather an experience; a creative project. Because in every project, you get to establish connections and create memories that will last a lifetime!
