Over the past few weeks, we’ve been spending a few hours clearing and reopening old pathways around the Quinta.
In the process, we’ve discovered places we had never seen before, created new spots to sit by the “waterfall,” and opened up areas that had been hidden for decades.
Thanks to the , the path that connects the farm to the passadiços is clear again, giving us access to even more to explore.
Along the way, we found an old ruin… and what used to be a food garden from the 1950s.
We only recently learned about it from Manoel, whose grandparents owned this land back then, and were the ones who built it.
