Um projeto de Abrigos Fotográficos desde 2021, com o principal objetivo de permitir fotografar e observar aves através de esconderijos e proporcionar uma experiência única ao amante da natureza.

The most impressive things happen, always as a result of dedication and persistence.
It has now been a month and a half since the Common Cuckoo first appeared at our hide. Such a difficult species, with such unique behaviour: it watches me from a distance, then comes right up to the hide as soon as it knows everything is ready to welcome it, without missing a single morning.
What is most impressive is the bird’s development, confidence and dominance in the territory. The fragile Cuckoo that had to flee as soon as another species appeared, because it was constantly attacked, has become a bird that commands respect, that knows this place belongs to it. Despite its battle scars, it remains in the area, asserting its presence and standing its ground, even against the pesky Iberian blue magpies.

Fotos abelharucos:

Estamos naquela 1° fase final de atividade de abelharucos, e as fêmeas aproximam-se da incubação de ovos!
Por outro lado, estamos a fazer as primeiras sessões com direito a tudo no hide das rapinas/ Cuco canoro! Tivemos direito a cuco canoro com a primeira luz do dia, saca rabos a proteger o alimento do milhafre preto, e por fim o milhafre preto a brincar com os restos!
O ideal é aproveitar o melhor que temos para oferecer!

We’re now in the final stages of the bee-eater season, and the females are about to start incubating their eggs!
Meanwhile, we’re holding our first sessions at the bird of prey/common cuckoo hide, which is absolutely top-notch! We were lucky enough to see the common cuckoo at first light, the Mongoose protecting is food from the black kite, and finally, the black kite playing with the leftovers!

The best thing is to make the most of what we have to offer!

There’s a new arrival at Mourisca Hides.
Little by little, he’s losing his shyness, exploring his surroundings and settling into a routine. He’s still looking for a quieter time of day, but is gradually realising that early in the morning, everything comes together to welcome him.
Our Common Cuckoo seems to have some rather imposing company, but they’re making him feel at home too.

When friendship, professionalism, fun and simplicity come together, the results are always great.
That’s exactly what happened when and got together on a beautiful morning, with two species that provided photo after photo!

2 cartões de 64 GB nos últimos 2 dias fotografados, deverão querer dizer alguma coisa, não é verdade?
Os abelharucos continuam a cumprir também com uma atividade de excelência hoje durante a tarde!

Se há algo que me satisfaz neste meu trabalho, é ter a oportunidade de dar momentos únicos a quem me visita.
Hoje foi dia de mostrar o cuco-canoro de perto pela primeira vez. Há quem ouvisse o Cuco há mais de 40 anos e que nunca o tinha visto em condições.
Hoje foi mais um dia de sucesso e é por isto que fico grato.
Desde jovens a iniciar este mundo da fotografia de vida selvagem, até aos mais experientes na matéria, há sempre algo novo a mostrar por aqui.

There are always surprises at every hide!
At the water rail hide, we had a male common kingfisher posing for some great photos!
At the common kingfisher hide, it was the mongoose's turn to steal the show!
