The children of Sapa, Vietnam (part 2).

Sapa is home to the Mountain Hmong people.

The Hmong people are an ethnic group living mainly in southern China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.

There are approximately one million Hmong people in Vietnam today, living primarily in the mountain regions along the northern borders.

These photos were taken during our brief stay in Sapa in 2019, on a foggy and humid day.

The children of Sapa, Vietnam.

The town is tucked neatly into the Muong Hoa Valley, of northernmost Vietnam.

Sapa is home to the Mountain Hmong people, who terrace these soaring mountains, growing rice on their picturesque ridges.

There was a thick fog for our entire stay and we could barely breathe because of the humidity.

When the fog clears you can see the most beautiful rice terraces, but unfortunately we did not get a chance to see them on our trip.
