The last days of August in Bucharest are my absolute favorite time of the year in this city.

While everyone else is already stressed about getting back to reality, the city’s pulse suddenly slows down.

The streets are blissfully empty of the usual chaos, the traffic jams disappear, and the cafés along the boulevards can finally breathe.

There’s none of that heavy September pressure, no frantic rush of kids heading back to schools and kindergartens, just a rare, peaceful kind of city silence that is nearly impossible to find the rest of the year.

The sun is still warm, the air is just starting to hint at the autumn coming our way, and in the meantime, it’s just the best feeling to wander through the quiet neighborhoods and pretend the whole city belongs to you.

Enjoy this quiet while it lasts, because everything is about to wake right back up. 🍂✨

An afternoon walk in Herăstrău Park in Bucharest.

It’s a bit of a bummer because a few months ago they drained all the water from the lake and said they were going to renovate the whole thing, especially the banks.

In the meantime, it looks like nothing is moving and winter is coming.

I hope this doesn’t turn into two or three years, compared to the just one year they promised it would take.

On the bright side, Bucharest is almost empty :)
Everyone is on vacation at the seaside, in the mountains, with family in the countryside, or in other countries.

Life is too short to rush.
Do what you love, slow down, and stay close to the people who fill your cup.

It’s a beautiful shift, learning to move at your own pace, creating just for the love of it.
