Being jury members for the first edition of was truly an honor.
It was one of those rare nights where so many creatives who usually serve others were finally in the spotlight. Seen. Valued. Celebrated.
Sixteen years ago, when we started photography, this industry looked very different. Wedding photography was seen as superficial. Not a real job. Not something you could build a life or a family on. Definitely not art.
I still remember asking my mom for a camera for my 19th birthday and telling her I would make money with it. She loved me enough to believe in me and buy it, even if she never truly imagined it would actually happen. That part only became possible once I met Adrian.
Back then, there were no communities like today. No Pinterest. No Instagram. No endless inspiration at your fingertips. It was just the two of us, two cameras, a big passion, and a very clear vision of what this industry could become and how we wanted to be part of that change.
I remember one of our first years, when a bride could afford only a bouquet from one of the most aspirational florists in the country at that time. When the bouquet arrived, the reaction felt like Beyoncé had just entered the room. That moment stayed with us. With tiny details and limited resources, we started to see every event as an opportunity, no matter the decor, the venue, the dress, or the budget.
We trained our eyes to search for beauty everywhere, and we always found it. Because it is always there. You just need to pay attention.
For us, last night was about all the creatives who can see beauty in every event and amplify it. It was about those who push forward more than they complain. About those who see opportunity even when the odds, or the crowds, say otherwise.
Seeing so many of our favorite people on stage was a true joy.
Thank you, for this night. And congratulations to all the winners. We know how much unseen work, heart, and dedication stand behind every recognition.
