Cambodian rush hour. 2017.
They’ll sell you golden temples, happy couples kayaking on a photoshopped sunset and so on.
I’ll give you truth for free.
“We got it wrong, we were late, had to leave the city earlier to avoid all this. Industrial area, 5pm, everybody wants to go home, whatever.
7 hours of bus later, middle of the jungle, tiny road, no lights, we were f**kin’ hungry.
Suddenly, looks like a kiosk where they grillin’ stuff.
Yes, stuff, I bet that not even the guide knew the provenience of that meat.
Does it even matter when: you haven’t been eating all day, you’re in the middle of the Cambodian jungle and, some guys offer you grilled meat and cold ass beers?
It was rat-hog, they said, who cares anyway.
