Driving and seeing the sunset from the top of the tallest mountain in the world, measured from base to summit, was one of the most incredible adventures I’ve ever had. Did you know that Mauna Kea is taller than Everest when measured from its base on the ocean floor? 🌊🗻
Adventure is out there, and sometimes, it takes you over 4,000 meters above sea level to find it: driving a 4WD to the summit was more than just a journey—it was an experience of pure magic. As the sun dipped into the ocean, the sky exploded in red, pink, orange, and purple hues, reminding me why sunsets will forever be my favorite show.
If you ever get the chance to chase this sunset, DO IT. The view stays with you long after the last rays fade.
