I’d like to add some more reflections to this series. For me, this series, more than the others, is about the formation of new neural connections. I like it when there’s space for my thoughts to wander... What is the interaction between a modern person and an idol from the pagan era? Can there be contact?... Against the backdrop of Siemiradzki’s painting, which tells the eternal theme of war... And what is the role of women in all of this? Is the answer obvious? I’m grateful to the Historical Museum and the Slava Zaitsev Fashion House for the opportunity to conduct this photo shoot.

В этой серии хотелось бы добавить еще размышления. Эта серия для меня больше остальных про формировании новых нейронных связей. Мне нравится, когда есть пространство для полёта мыслей… Что есть взаимодействие современного человека и идола эпохи язычества? Может ли быть контакт?.. На фоне картины Семирадского, повествующей о вечной для человека теме войны (съемка делалась после начала новостей, связанных с Ормузским проливом)… И какова роль женщины во всём этом? Ответ очевиден?

The same perspective as the previous post, but with a different model, lighting, and an emphasis on one of the Historical Museum’s halls dedicated to the ancient world. The theme is the interaction between the prehistoric and the modern.

Тот же взгляд на вещи, что и в предыдущем посте, но с другой моделью, светом, акцентом на один из залов Исторического музея, посвященный древнему миру. Тема взаимодействия первобытного и современного.

This series of photographs at the Historical Museum was created thanks to the opening of the exhibition «Egor Zaitsev. The Shape of Fabric.» The exhibition, which features a collection of dresses, is still on view until June 1st.

Of course, I was very interested in combining the archaic and the modern, and seeing what could come of it... The designs of Egor’s dresses seem simultaneously modern, even futuristic, and archaic, more in the sense of nature-inspired.

I am grateful to the Historical Museum and the Slava Zaitsev Fashion House for the opportunity to conduct this photo shoot.

Данная серия фотографий в стенах Исторического музея получилась благодаря открытию выставки «Егор Зайцев. Форма ткани». Выставку из коллекции платьев еще можно успеть увидеть до 1 июня.

Мне, конечно, было очень интересно соединить архаику и современность, посмотреть, что из этого может получится… При том, что конструкции платьев Егора мне одновременно кажутся и современными, даже футуристическими, и архаичными, больше в смысле природоподобные.

Встреча рассвета в одном из мест, которое, в моих глазах, олицетворяет Ладожские шхеры. В это утро сделал несколько снимков, запечатлив различные состояния одного места при разном освещении. Фотографии расположены в обратном хронологическом порядке.

Watching the sunrise in one of the picturesque spots in the Ladoga skerries. I took several photos that morning, capturing the various states of the same spot under different lighting conditions. The photos are arranged in reverse chronological order.

Ladoga 2025. I’d like to call this series of photographs «Positive,» as they feature postcard-like images. This is primarily due to the lighting, time of day and year, and color. Roughly speaking, this represents one day from sunrise to sunset.

Ладога 2025. Эту серию фотографий хотелось бы назвать «Позитивное», так как здесь представлены фотографии «открыточного типа». Обусловлено это в первую очередь освещением, временем суток и года, цветом. Условно это один день от восхода до заката.
