Hey, guys.
For those who in love with this absolutely beautiful concept from YAMAHA.
Since I'm riding XT660Z myself and I love the way T7 looks so much, I decided to compare these two machines.
Many people keep their best hopes to see the final, road legal model as close, to what we see right now in T7 Concept, as possible.
But is it going to happen?
Let's see closer.
Those, who had a chance to ride little Tenere know, that bike is not that small in fact. It's really tall and, probably, one of the best options for big and tall guys.
So straight away we can see, that new machine is a bit longer. Like 2-3 inches roughly.
What else?
Seat. You probably have noticed it already. Looks like it is good 4 inches higher. Well. That's kinda too much. Don't you think so?
Foot pegs. And again, it looks like those are from 3 to 4 inches higher. Is that good for balancing the machine with such a high pegs point? Don't think so. And riding with knees bent that much, especially if you are quite big guy, not an option for sure.
Tank. From some new photos on web, I've noticed, that tank is really wide in the place where rider's knees should be. Means, taller riders should slide them self a bit backward, what can affect rider's position on the bike.
Well. Coming back to the seat again. Have you noticed, that it's like sooooo long. Like you can sit two tiny passengers behind you, but. I can't really see the place, passenger foot pegs can be attached to this frame. Even one pair, for just one passenger.
As we can see on T7, there is only one front brake disc rotor on the left side.
So yeah. Looks cool. But not quite useful to be a road model and will see many changes, most likely. Hopefully, they will keep that crazy rally touch yet will be able to make it practical.

Updated:
Wheelbase 1555mm
Weight 175-185kg
Seat high approx. 950-980mm
Adrien Van Beveren Official Yamaha Rider. Height: 187cm. Yes, that's an official information(https://www.yamaha-racing.com/dakar/teams/rider/adrien-van-beveren). We can clearly see on the video, that getting off the bike he can't reach the ground.

What do you think guys?
Any thoughts?

Straight after reuniting with our white ponies we hit the road, and what better road to take in the US than the famous Route 66! Thank you, Sam Manicom, for recommending the Oatman to Kingman stretch, it was a blast! ;)

WE MADE IT!
Against all odds we made it to Novosibirsk, our final self-driven destination in Eurasia. Now hopefully we'll put our bikes onto a train to Vladivostok and figure out how to get to North America :)
Dead tired after one of the hardest days in the saddle ever. Roads completely covered in ice and snow and crazy Russian drivers didn't make it easy, but we persevered and powered through ;)

There we go, as promised- another post! :) This time we are going through Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.
Or are we?

With Roman Maksimov and Tim Ozuns

Day 5. Slovenia, Croatia Oh that sweet feeling of a warm sleeping bag and a soft air mattress. The only luxuries we've got left nowadays :) On another note, our stomachs don't really cope well with those delicious camping meals we brought from the UK.

We finally got some decent internet, so here is another post about the first days of our trip :) Another one to follow s...

We finally got some decent internet, so here is another post about the first days of our trip :) Another one to follow shortly!

Day 3. Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy Oh those Autobahns. They are loads of fun in a sports car, or on a GSX-R, but we were on a mission, we were blasting through Europe as quickly as possible to get to Turkey since we can tour in Europe whenever we want.

We are at Ak Baital pass, highest road in former USSR. It's bloody cold but super beautiful.

Hey friends! We've finally got some time to sort out the blog, so here is a small write-up about our first two days on the road. There will be loads more very soon, so stay tuned ;)

Day 1. UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany. Oh, the departure day. We could not believe that it came so quickly! We were preparing for this for quite some time, but there we were, super anxious and almost shaking, to step into unknown and start our epic journey.
