From Beijing to Moscow: Dialog of Two Cultures
International exhibition project has been arranged together with the National Museum of China; it is timed for the 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Russia and China and successfully completing cross Years of the two countries’ cultures.
The exposition goes beyond the traditional chronological approach and focuses on three key aspects: creator, connoisseur and practical application of art. This perspective allows revealing the social context of the works creation and closing the gap between aesthetic systems.
At the center of the exhibition is the epoch of Ming and Qing dynasties (XIV–XIX centuries) as the peak of the Chinese painting and calligraphy flowering.
