“Community” is a word we use often, but its meaning becomes clear in action.

Across Rwanda, it looks like this: people working side by side, shared laughter, quiet portraits of resilience, and small things that carry big meaning like a rabbit passed on through a group, becoming a source of growth.

Saving groups are not just about money. They are about trust, discipline, and showing up for one another.

Here, solutions don’t belong to one person. They are built together. And through that, lives begin to shift not individually, but collectively.

This is what community looks like.

Working with smallholder farmers across the African continent has taught me something profound: their passion is universal.

No matter the country, the care and faith they pour into their work is truly inspiring. If you’re looking for motivation to pursue anything in life, spend time with a farmer.

Despite facing immense challenges like climate change, limited resources, financial constraints. They show up every day with determination and resilience.
In my photography, joy has become an unconscious theme. With farmers, I’ve learned the power of doing what you can and letting go of what you can’t control. It’s a lesson we could all benefit from.

Access to the right tools, training, and technology can transform lives. Something as simple as an irrigation pump can dramatically increase yields and provide income for entire households. That’s the kind of change worth fighting for.

Through ’ Restore Local initiative, communities across the Lake Kivu and Rusizi River Basin are reviving ecosystems, boosting livelihoods, and shaping a sustainable future. Grateful to help share their story.

Lost Dreams, New Dreams
A celebration of the courage and perseverance of teen parents.

This project explores the lived realities of teen pregnancy and not just the statistics we often hear, but the faces, voices, and stories we so often overlook.

Through these portraits, we witness the strength it takes to navigate stigma, responsibility, and transformation at such a young age. Each image is a testimony of resilience, and a call to see teen parents with compassion and dignity.

My goal with this project is to shift perception, foster empathy, and inspire systemic change in how we understand and support teen parents.

This highlight video captures the energy of the exhibition launch and an evening of reflection, connection, and deep storytelling.
Hosted by Institut Français du Rwanda - Centre Culturel Francophone du Rwanda and RWAMREC - Rwanda Men's Resource Center , the event brought together individuals committed to listening and learning.

When I started this journey, I simply wanted to educate myself and to share what I was learning in a way that would open hearts and minds.

To everyone who came, engaged, and shared in these stories: thank you. Your presence made this night unforgettable.
